My feature artwork for pych rockers White Fence and Ty Segall’s collaborative album, Hair. Simply riffing off the album’s title, I went back to my retro magazine sources to get some luscious hair of a fun and sun late 80s crowd. Entwining them in strands of illustrated hair and cutting out their faces in favor of TV static for a nice psych feel. The photo’s natural colors over-complicated the piece somewhat, so I used a photo error shade of magenta to bring them all together for the final CoS piece. However, I do really love the natural colors of the cut-outs so I’ve included them here.
